Happly flipping New Year. Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em then get to work.

Whew! Anyone see that crazy year that just kicked us all in the ass? We don’t know a single person sad to see it go. That being said, here we are at a brand spanking new year. Finally. Big month too. We have a brand spanking new president to get us going (hopefully) in the right direction and (hopefully) nowhere to go but forward and up. Here’s to hoping there.

In the meantime, let’s talk about what we would like 2009 to bring. Here is our top list of things to accomplish.

[1] Launch our live music section. This section is in the works now and we hope to really kick this sucker into high gear soon. If you have a show you want to see covered, drop us a line and we will try to get on it.

[2] Launch activist’s corner. This is a section of the site geared towards making your voice heard; only a lot easier. Who do you want to talk to? We want to know.

[3] Find cooler products. America is certainly the land of the product. Sometimes this isn’t great, but sometimes it is just the coolest thing ever. We are on a constant hunt for the newest killer product. Know of one? Make one? We would love to talk to you.

[4] Find cooler people to talk too. Let’s face it, there are a lot of mean folks out there. We don’t want to hear from them. But if you are into what we are and want to see us do more about that then you are the folks we need to chat with.

[5] Launch the philanthropic section. It is a foundation here at Headshop that those who have a lot should give some of it away. Those who have enough, should give a little bit of it away. Those who don’t have squat or those getting beat up by bigger folks; these are the ones we want to help out. We are currently working on a few ways to showcase various charitable events and organizations. If you fit into one of these categories or would like to be featured in this light on our site, we absolutely want to hear from you.

We could keep going on and on about all the cool stuff we have in store but we can’t give away the farm now can we? What we can say is that this is the year for us to get moving, get involved, and really kick some proverbial ass in the process. Come along for the ride, we would love to have you. Bring a friend. Hell, bring 10. The more the merrier and man, we can really be merry around here.
