Dab tools do more than move wax around: the shape, material, and tip style all affect how your concentrate loads, vaporizes, and tastes, and we carry every style worth owning.
Not all concentrates behave the same way, and your tool should match what you're working with. Here's a breakdown of the main styles we carry.
Sharp, precise tips are best for solid concentrates like shatter and rosin. They let you break off a clean piece and drop it into the banger without dragging half your dab across the edge.
Scoops are built for soft, sticky concentrates like budder, sugar wax, and live resin. The cup shape holds the material until it hits the heat, so less ends up on the side of your nail.
Paddle-style tools give you a flat surface to work with, which is useful for pressing concentrates into a banger or scraping a container clean. These are the most versatile tips in the lineup.
A dab stick is usually a slimmer, pen-shaped tool with a tip on one or both ends. Some double as carb cap holders or come with built-in carb caps. If you want one tool that handles most situations, this is the format to look at.
For a cleaner, more controlled load, check out our hot knife loading tools. These use low heat to transfer your concentrate directly into the banger, which reduces waste and keeps sticky material off your hands.
The material affects durability, heat resistance, and whether it picks up unwanted flavor. Here are the most common options.
A few things to consider before you buy.
Tip style for your concentrate type. Match the tip to what you're actually dabbing. A needle tip on live rosin is going to frustrate you. A scoop on shatter is just as bad.
Length. Longer tools keep your hand farther from the heat. If you run high-temp dabs or work with a large banger, a longer handle matters more than you'd think.
Double-ended tools. Many tools have two different tips on either end, giving you flexibility without carrying multiple tools. Worth prioritizing if you rotate between concentrate types.
Ease of cleaning. Residue builds up fast. Metal and quartz tools wipe clean easily with an ISO swab. Check out our cleaning tools to keep everything dialed in.
If you're serious about temperature control and maximizing terpene flavor, also browse our terp tools and Skilletools collections for precision options built specifically for low-temp dabbing. For artisan-crafted tools with serious attention to detail, Bluebus Fine Tools is worth a look.
A dab tool is used to pick up, portion, and place cannabis concentrates into a heated banger or nail. Without one, handling sticky or crumbly concentrates is messy, imprecise, and wasteful. The right tool gives you clean, controlled placement every time.
The terms are often used interchangeably, but a dab stick typically refers to a slimmer, pen-shaped version of a dab tool. Dab sticks are popular for their ergonomic feel and portability. A dab tool is the broader category that includes paddles, scoops, needles, and more.
A dab poker is another name for a pointed or needle-tip dab tool. The term comes from the way it's used: poking into solid concentrates like shatter to break off a piece. It's one of the oldest and most common tool styles around.
The easiest method is to heat the tip briefly with a torch to burn off residue, then wipe it down with a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol. For glass or quartz tools, skip the torch and go straight to an ISO soak. Regular cleaning keeps your tool from contaminating your next dab with old, burnt-on residue.

When I first got it, I was so disapointed,so plane Jane, just a dull all black box with a nipple to suck on.
But when I used it, things changed, it lit up into a colorful display! cool! Now I can get "stoned" at will & it feels so good!
\It's a good product, easy to use, very effective colorful eye candy.
The pipes ordered are very nice! They were packaged so carefully too. Very pleased.
Definitely holds heat longer than the cap that comes with the Hyderdyn.

Carved Wood Hand Pipe w/ Stone Bowl
This is a small glass water pipe that works well. I like that it is made in the USA and is still inexpensive.
You can only fill the round part at the bottom about half way or else you might inhale water. Other than that no issues at all.
Love the item I received
I'm loving this device! I grew up with a dead head father. He passed away 12yrs ago. So I think this is awesome! Thank you!!
