Water Level:

We highly recommend filling each piece individually. It will be both easier and less prone to accidents. 

Base: Fill from the joint until it covers the first honeycomb. Give it a pull so that the water automatically flows up. Adjust water as needed so that all 3 honeycombs get about 1/4" of water. 

Percolator: Fill until both slits are covered by 1/4" of water. Fill from the top till it's full, the water will automatically flow down to the bottom chamber, if not, you can tilt the glass or blow into it to push the water down. 

Adjust the water level according to personal preference.
